A few words from our families.

From the first time we met them both, it was clear how much care and dedication they have to children and their development. We have regular updates from both Anna and Richard detailing what activities the children have been doing. It is always made clear to us as parents that the activities are purposely chosen to help aid the children through different milestones. For example, recently the children were having fun with vertical painting, and Anna and Richard explained to us in detail how this strengthens core muscles and encourages proper wrist extension for handwriting, along with helping with spatial awareness.

Choosing the right childcare setting was a significant decision for us, particularly because of my clinical healthcare background and safeguarding awareness, where a strong understanding of children's wellbeing makes the importance of the right environment and carers especially clear. From the outset, Anna reassured us and gave us confidence in our decision. She has consistently been kind, caring and compassionate. Although our son took a little longer than some children to settle in due to his more sensitive nature, Anna showed great patience and understanding, which helped him feel safe, secure and supported.

Recently, my son has been having a little trouble with his walking. I raised my concerns with Anna and Richard to see whether they had noticed anything. They suggested that changing his shoes might help, as the pair he had previously did not provide the best support, and even recommended affordable shoes that could help. Although this helped slightly, I still had some concerns, so I asked them to continue monitoring him. Richard later noticed a clicking in his hips, which prompted me to visit the doctor — he is now being referred to orthopaedics for further assessment. Anna and Richard truly go above and beyond in the care and support they provide.

One very special memory was when Anna and Richard recreated "We're Going on a Bear Hunt". Richard read the story while the children experienced the different environments — the deep cold river, the oozy mud, the thick dark forest. At the end, there was even a teddy bear waiting in a tent cave, which made it a really memorable experience. Communication with Anna is excellent — we receive detailed daily updates about our daughter's day: her appetite, how she has slept, and what she has done, always with photos and little observations. It really helps us feel connected to her day.

This has been made so easy by Anna's clear communication with us, both verbally at drop-off and collection, and by her updates on WhatsApp. Her updates give us detailed information about our daughter's progress and what we can do to support this at home. We do not just hear what she has done, but why they have done it and what we can do to build on this as a family. This is always a two-way conversation, and Anna asks what we have been doing at home too.

Our son had never spent the day away from us before, so we were nervous about how he'd settle in. Anna and Richard organised several settling-in sessions, including coming to our house to bond with him and see him in his home environment. He took to them both straight away — their calm and confident presence and wonderful home has helped him settle in straight away. He is so excited to see them in the mornings, and he "chats" the whole way home, as if to tell us all about his day.

What stands out most is the genuine care they have for every child. Our son is not simply looked after — he is truly known, supported and encouraged as an individual. As parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your child is safe, happy and thriving in the care of people you completely trust. We honestly would not ask for a better setting for him and would highly recommend Anna and Richard to any family. Their dedication, care and passion for what they do is clear in every aspect of their environment.
